REM:RAM is an independent, multicultural and international digital music collective of young artists formed in Berlin during 2022.
We create music with a postmodern approach, rejecting binary oppositions, hierarchy and categorizations, emphasizing the legitimacy of the individual values and maintaining a strong contemporary aesthetic: the digital and the dream.
While having an eclectic repertoire for the listener (we find tastes of Hyperpop, IDM, Electro-hop, Electropop, Techno and Industrial, variatiating and shifting between these genre boundaries), there is a solid homogeneous approach from the perspective of the creators: in-the-box music production.
Our niche is in our rooms, inside our laptops, into our DAWs. That is our laboratory, that quintessential nonplace inside the insides, where physical boundaries get replaced by the infinite possibilities within strings of code.
Here and now is where the dream starts: where all walls seem to vanish, when no traditional value seems to truly reflect our thoughts.
Through the power of new technology, REM:RAM’s soul creates new worlds for new humans. We create spaces for our hearts to express emotions, and for our minds to criticize and reject the mentalities fed by inertia, which can't anymore reflect the reality we currently live in.
REM:RAM represents the age of the first real global generation, brothers and sisters of the internet era. We are the new society in which ways and principles are generated into the single individual, not to impose them, but to suggest and enrich our environment. Where the crossroads of different paths are materially nowhere and everywhere, but intellectually and spiritually meet in each and everyone of us. Just like our music.
